The first one I received looked and felt to be good quality, however, the tubes were so tight I could not clock the injector tubes at all. I felt like they were going to break. 1A auto, in their defense, had excellent customer service and sent me a new one. The second one was also hard to clock the tubes and so I soaked the elbows in how water. This made it able to clock them correctly. Worked well after installed and testing. Only have maybe ten minutes of run time on the injector unit but seems to work well so far.
Fuel injection was delivered on time. The installation was completed easily and the truck is operating perfectly.
I'm having a misfire that wasn't there before the replacement. So far it does appear to be fuel related. More investigation to come.
I bought and installed this fuel injector about a year ago. So far there has been no issues with it.
Is a good product
Truck ran great after initial installation, good power and great takeoff from a standing start. However, Item failed second day after installation. No fuel to cylinders 4 &5. Have asked for a refund - answering further questions about VIN and Make/model - awaiting decision from A-1, shouldn't be that difficult. Product not reliable.
Excellent, no problem. The only problem that I had is with UPS they continue canceling my due date.
Looks great, packaging was great. The fuel regulator was installed upside down so I had to reinstall it correctly. Second, the fuel lines are so stiff and needs to be about a half inch longer due to the electrical connection at the injector. Was a real pain in the butt to manipulate the lines so they could seat into the manifold. Overall nice unit but could use some adjusting. Your supplier being "Standard Products" needs to look into this. Very expensive unit to have so much difficulty. I would recommend this product.
Injector #7 leaked after 5 months/500 miles. Failure seems to be common with other product reviewers here. With how difficult these are to install and the QA seems to be lacking I asked to be reimbursed instead of installing another likely faulty unit. Customer service supervisor denied it and said my only option was to install another unit under warranty.
No you will need the gasket for atleast your intake manifold. They are reusable, but with the age of most these trucks(assuming you have a 95-98 gmt400). You should most definitely replace it
Yes you should be able to wiggle it out slowly, too much force and you might snap it off and thats a really bad day. Cant remember if they have clips to be honest. Just be careful with tugging since you're basically grabbing onto a injector to pull it out.
Yes, this fuel injected unit upgraded from the factory design of the puppit valves I buy this Through 1aauto and installed on my Chevy 3500 runs good no more hard starts very responsive Throttle.
For sure it ll fit like a glove
