Used this item to replace my 2001 Silverado Driver's side regulator. I tried to fix my old one by taking it apart and rewinding a good looking cable around the plastic sprocket but it just would not work. I first tried applying 12 volts to the motor and it would turn, revers the voltage and it turned in opposite direction. However no success in rewinding the cable on the plastic sprocket. Ordered this item and it fixed the problem. Nice to have a window go up and down again.
Worked well on my 2001 Chevy Suburban. Easy to install. I found it easier to remove the power window instrument cluster from the door panel before removing the panel. It made it easier to position and test both new and old assemblies.

The part itself installed exactly as shown in the video, but my 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE's door panel gets removed completely differently from the video. The video did provide enough commonalities to figure it out though. The new regulator is quiet and suprisingly fast.

The motor is same size as OE. Rolled faster than old. The OE replacement from dealer is smaller and didn't line up,
