I ordered an upper ball joint a year ago from 1A AUTO for my 1998 GMC Yukon with 326,000 miles, and it came with bolts nuts and a grease fitting. It took about 5,000 miles to "break-in" and stop memory steering, (just like the MOOG it was replacing) and since then has been performing perfectly for the next 12,000 miles. So when I needed the same ball joint for the other side upper, I chose A1 AUTO. This time it came with everything but no grease fitting and no hole to put one into. I emailed about it, and was told it was a sealed ball joint. It has been my experience that when the boot gets old the grease will become contaminated and with no way to re-grease it, the life span is greatly diminished. I asked if I could put a hole in it to facilitate greasing and was told that would void the warranty, so I just installed it as is. I guess I will be a test bed for the new ball joint with no fitting to grease it. I paid $5.00 more for it than AutoZone right around the corner, so,,
