Brake light switch fit perfectly on my 1998 Chevy K1500. The brake light switch is a little aggravating to change but theres several good YouTube videos that show how to do it.. The lock cap that holds the switch on the rod does not come with the switch. You can get these at most any auto parts store. Very pleased with 1A Autos service and parts.

This is what controls the brake lights but I think the part you are looking for would be a Neutral Safety Switch.
