Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, I'm going to show you how to replace the air cleaner. This 2005 Silverado has the 4.3 Liter V6. It's a pretty easy operation. The only tool you'll need is a T25 Torx driver.
Your air filter is right here on the passenger side of your vehicle. It's held in by four Torx screws. These are T25 Torx screws. I'm actually just going to fast-forward here as I remove those four screws. The most difficult one is the one down near the radiator. If you have any type of a screwdriver-style Torx driver you'll be all set. Once you have the screws out, this just lifts right up, and the filter comes out.
A new filter from 1A Auto goes right down. Just make sure it seats in there correctly. Put the cover down on. I always like to start the two easiest ones first. Just get them started. Put the other two down in. Make sure you don't pinch any wires in here or anything. I have the top two started. I'll tighten up these bottom two, and then tighten up the top two and be all set.
