Using the small flat blade screwdriver, remove the lock ring from the end of the accelerator pedal. Unhook the spring from the pedal arm and hand it down. Then, slide all of it off of the pedal.
Line up the spring into its slot in the pedal and slide it back onto the shaft. Snap the hook of the spring back onto the pedal shaft. Make sure that it actually works. Slide the lock ring back on. You just push it down as tight has you can with your fingers. You're good to go.

retention washer
Don
June 19, 2017
the pedal was fine but I think the a two cent spring retention washer should be provided. By the time you get the old one off it no longer has any tension to stay in place. I also had to make a minor modification to the brake pad to get it on. It wasn't a big deal but it wasn't exactly the original.
