I have a 1998 GMC K1500 Z71 that Im installing a 6 lift on and doing a complete rehab on the suspension. After the beating I took replacing the front lower control arm bushings I figured replacing the shackles would be less painful than replacing the lower bushing on the stock shackles to go with my new springs. I was unable to find Moog or AC Delco Professionals in stock so I found these TRQ pieces on A1. A1s service is always great and their products are usually spot on so this review gets a second star for that. Overall product quality is fine. The problem goes all the way back to whoever laid out the flat pattern for these blew the bend allowance calculations for the upper spring hanger flanges. This resulted in the width of the spring hanger being too wide for the spring. Comparing the stock shackles to the TRQ the difference in width is equal to the metal thickness on each side.
