On most cars, the lug nut caps are usually missing or in bad shape from years of driving and mechanics abuse. Installation Tip - DO NOT tighten with a wrench. Tighten the caps by placing a 19mm socket on the cap and use your hand only. Over tightening will strip the threads or crack the caps. If a shop works on your tires take the caps off before hand and put them on yourself after you get the car back. Most shops are concerned with speed of repair and will use an impact wrench.

When you leave in the morning, you don't go out half dressed do you? Why in the world would you leave with your wheels half dressed? Broken or missing caps? Come on, we can do better than that. 1A Auto sells these and they're really easy to take care of. What happens to these poor guys is they tighten them up too much and they break them and then they end up falling off.
1A Auto sells them all new in, sets of five or sets of 20; you'll never have to let your car or your wheel go out half dressed again. Very easy.
What you want to do is put them on carefully. Put them on with your hand first and make sure they thread correctly. Then use your 19 mm socket I believe you should be able to see that 19 mm pretty well. Then, you just put them on by hand, then you get them, it takes about two or three turns and you feel, and then you tighten. Then, you stop there, not too tight and not too loose.
Personally, if I take my car to the tire shop, I actually take these off beforehand so that those guys can't get a hold of them and use their impact wrenches on them and break them again. That's it, and that's a nice dressed wheel.

Well i thought i had a good experience with my wheel nuts until i finally had time to put them on now i find out one of them in the box i open is bad crack on the top surely they could of easily seen this was a bad part before it was put in the box
These fit just as planned. Had to replace half of these on the vehicle. Poor manufacturer design leads to them just falling off after a few years. Besides being decorative, these plastic lug nut covers also hold on the actual stock plastic wheel cover (hub cap). A bit pricey per individual piece, but they are becoming hard to come by and if they prevent losing the expensive goofy wheel cover they are worth it.
No you dont need any tool. The cap have slots on it to match spot on rim snaps right in place
