In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a front engine torque strut mount on this 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. We show you on the mount on the driver's side, but the passenger's side has the same part and the same procedure. The items you'll need for this includes a new front engine mount from 1AAuto.com, and a 13mm and 15mm socket and ratchet, and a 15 mm wrench.
The mount is held in with a 15mm bolt and three 13mm bolts. For the 15 mm bolt, you're going to need a wrench on one side and your socket and ratchet on the other. Then you can just remove the 13mm bolts. Once those are removed, the mount just pulls free.
On the left is the old engine mount; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they'll fit exactly the same. Put your new front engine torque strap mount into place and put the bolt through it. Push it down. Then replace those three 13mm bolts and tighten them up. Replace the nut on the 15mm bolt and tighten that up. Once they're all tightened up, you're all set.

I purchased this kit with the intention to just install the dog bone mounts cause my bushings were bad in them and the auto part store wanted 70 bucks for the one dog bone with bushing that connects the engine to the front core supports. Anyway seeing as I can get all new mounts for under 100 bucks and install them myself within a day. The engine is very secure now and doesnt feel like its rocking back and forth upon braking and acceleration. I've been running these mounts for about 5 months or so and I'm very satisfied with the price and quality of these parts. As long as your not running a boosted engine or doing jumps you should be fine but the passenger side mount was a little difficult to install I had to use a bottle Jack and drop the cradle a little after that the install was super easy
I Got what I paid for. Your wonderful prices were directly reflected in the parts received. We're so cheaply made after one short 30 min. trip the wobble was eorseworse then be for changed out mounts. Sent email to A1Auto same day with photos an heard nothing from them until asked to do servay
