If you are continuously burning out coil packs in the same manner, changing the brand of coil pack is only going to add variety to your pile of bad coil packs. You have an external issue that is causing your coil pack to short somewhere and this could require professional help or at least the assistance of an oscilloscope and some thorough electrical testing tools to find your problem. There is a really good, in-depth and well-explained video on YouTube with a 2015 Cruze and that’s about as much info as I can give without mentioning competitor information, although I’m sure 1A Auto likely has some videos explaining how to locate short circuits. In the video I mentioned, that car had corrosion buildup between pins on the ECM connector that was causing a bridge for voltage to pass between those connectors and causing repeated, identical failures with every new ignition coil that was installed. If you’re having consistent, repeated failures on every coil pack installed, the problem is not with the coil pack and you’ll be wasting money continuing to try and fix what’s not broken, but is BEING broken.
