Was a little apprehensive doing this job myself but was able to do it after watching several videos on the A1Auto site. Hardest part was disconnecting the electrical connectors on all the switches. Needed some additional Youtube videos to convince myself I was unlocking the connector properly before apply the force required to disconnect (or break) the connectors. The regulator/motor came with several electrical connectors to fit multiple vehicles but it was obvious which was the right one to use. Made one "rookie" mistake in that I didn't tape up the excess length of electrical cables and had to disassemble the door one more time to plug the connector back in when the window snagged the harness on the way down and unplugged it. Could have been much worse.
I tried to perches retractor from Local auto dealer and the price was double for what I was able to get threw A1 auto , same quality of retractor & motor ,, Window works great !
No, it will not function correctly. This is made to be a direct replacement for the OE regulator.
