Works great on a 04 chevrolet silverado.
The product was a perfect fit for my particular vehicle.

Part is great and works perfectly. Using fittings from original cigarette lighter, I was able to fit this part into 2008 Equinox easily. My son plugged new fm wifi transmitter into this part so he can now listen to music on his cell phone through static fm radio station in car. Please note that I also needed to replace mini fuse in car to get part to work. Thank you again.

Well it depends on which one theres one on the driver seat , Center consul arm rest and the last on i have is located near the gear shift and this is the one i changed I believe I put the car emergency brake on put it in first gear popped off the plastic cover reached behind the socket pushed it out pull the wire harness off Reconnect to the new socket push the new plug back in the place reinstall the plastic cover put car into park Start vehicle test plug

The connector behind the cigarette lighter needs to plug into the bottom of the brown cross. This is a replacement part, but you need to take apart your dash in order to get to it.
