Everything fit well, but I lost the spring clip for one of the struts. Where can I find a replacement?
Replaced broken manual rear tailgate lift struts on my 2018 Forester, Parts were great, fit well and work great. Online video of repair process was very helpful! I would highly recommend.
The manual lift gates came and worked perfectly. They were an exact replacement match for the lift supports installed on our Subaru Forester. Installation was fairly simple. At first, we didn't realize there is a pin insert associated with the ball socket end. Once discovered, installation went smoothly. No documentation was included with the parts.
Works great. Was a little tricky to get in, had to push up on the trunk beyond what I was expecting in order to get it to fit, but no issues past that point.
sorry, but we were not able to use them. due to lack of time we had to purchase another set else where. after installing 1a part they would not keep the tail gate lid open. very weak and poor quality......
Everything worked as it should
One of the lift gate supports broke on my 2015 Subaru. OEM cost was about $150 for ONE. I was able to get TWO from 1A for about a third of that price. Replaced them both and they work flawlessly. No video for this job, but it is pretty self-explanatory. Just make sure you rig up some type of support to keep the lift gate up while you work on the supports. I used a couple of 2x4's and gently wedged them in. Worked perfectly.
The delivery was quick and the kit hardware was coated for weather seeing I had to cut off my originals 2015 forester70k northeast and the install went smooth with my wife's help holding up lifgate
