Hot garbage. Looks ok, doesn't match factory but you can live with it. Install was easy, no big deal. The build quality is a pile of dog sh*t. It shakes and rattles and moves around so much while you're driving that it's rendered completely useless. There is one sentence of instructions telling you to cycle through the power folding range and it will tighten the looseness. #nope.
We replaced the side mirror in a Toyota Sequoia Platinum edition, which has the heated mirror, blind spot monitor, and turn signal. This was the only mirror on the market, besides what the dealer would sell us, that had all of those features. Toyota wanted $900+ for this part and over $300 for just the glass. This was a good replacement, easy to install, everything works as advertised. I would deduct a half-star since the trim around the edge of the glass is not identical to the Toyota brand trim (just a little lip on the glass). Nothing anyone would notice if they didn't know it was replaced. I was happy this worked for the Platinum edition for a reasonable price.
My wife and I changed the mirror out in about 15 minutes on our 2016 Toyota Sequoia. 1aauto has a video using a 2011 Sequoia (google it, if need be), but the procedure is exactly the same for the 2016 Sequoia. Super easy. Don't pay a body shop to do it. Totally not worth it. We didn't buy any special tools or anything - just used what we had in the garage. The mirror came perfect and with no defects. The mirror worked perfectly once installed.
My fiancee ended up hitting her mirror on the garage in her 2016 Sequoia Platinum. Dealer list price is $880 but offered it to me for $635. Still way more than I wanted to spend. Being that hers is a Platinum, I was worried that some of the functions like the blind spot warning system wouldn't work correctly. The mirror came pretty quick with all the necessary parts. Zero fitment issues. I looked at both the original and the 1A Auto mirror and they were exactly the same, down to every detail. Bolted right up and plugged right in. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend this item to anyone on the fence. I will say that the only thing with this mirror is that I can tell there is a very very slight shake to the mirror lens when driving. I didn't notice it at all until I had the mirror on for a few weeks. Even knowing that it does it, I still don't notice.
