The part is new and in fine shape, and installation was ridiculously easy. And it renders my truck drivable in the time between now and when complete body work is scheduled. But, the mirror vibrates a lot within the housing. The housing itself mounts well and solid, but while driving just a highway, the mirror itself vibrates a lot. It's functional and glad I got it for 50-bucks, but it's not great - while the 12 year old original part on the passenger side remains rock solid.
The mirror install was simple, good fit, and looks good. The power adjustment works perfectly. However, I was driving on the highway in some high winds and the glass section shook a lot. The black case was sturdy, just the glass moved. I still have my factory side view mirror on the other side and the factory mirror wasn't shaking like this one was. It also shook on a bumpy road, and again the factory one didn't.
