Get a better camera.
Went together easy and straight forward. However the camera quality is less than ideal. Has an orange tint to it. Not very high quality. Do yourself a favor and soothe extra money and get a better one. If you're going to run wire from the tailgate to the console ?. Make it better. I do now have a backup camera. So that's a bonus. But I can't see the trailer hitch sometimes due to the poor image quality.

Perfect backup camera for non-prewired tundras ...
The backup camera is great for tundras that do not come pre-wired like mine (2008 work truck) but works great with after market radio , the only thing was it didnt come with loom protection for the wiring as advertised in pictures.

Installed on a 2010 Tundra DC
Broke my stock noncamera handle so I upgraded to this unit. Very simple straight forward install. Got my power and ground to the camera from driver side reverse light. Ran the camera feed to the front of the truck through the passenger side foot.

what is the green wire for? it is connected to the video in port as well on the back of the truck somewhere. this didnt come with a wiring diagram does someone have one?

Does this camera have Assisted line markings also does it have night vision?
Hello, if the monitor you purchase has the assisted line-markings you will continue to get those markings. This is an upgraded camera not a replacement for your original camera system.

This states a separate monitor will be needed... will it not hook up to my existing one in the truck?
Thank you for your inquiry. This will require another monitor/display with an RCA video input. Since this is an upgrade for vehicles that did not have this originally, there may not be ample wiring available to hook into the current system. If you have questions about your particular system, contacting a local dealer would be the best way to get a definitive answer.
