Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how to video helps you out and the next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, I'm going to show how to replace a side view mirror on this 2008 Toyota Tacoma. It's not a hard task. The tools you'll need are a small flat-blade screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, and a 10mm socket with a ratchet.
To take the door apart, you start here. Use a small screwdriver, reach in, pull that out. There's a Phillips screw in there. Same thing here. Small Phillips on that door, a Phillips screw in there. This clip right here, push the center in and then the clip comes out and then this panel here. Just put your hands in behind and it pops off. Fast forward as I remove those two Phillips screws. You'll also want to come up under here, lift it up with your fingernails a little bit with a small screwdriver again, carefully pull that out and forward. On the side here, there's a little tab. You push the tab in and you pull. Now, there's kind of a locking collar. Gently kind of work out the screwdriver in there and pull that locking collar back and the locking collar comes off. Then that disconnects. Pull this collar all the way back until it clicks. Put that there. Then just use your fingers, work them in behind the door panel, pull firmly and there's a series of clips. Right around this edge. Once the clips are off the door panel comes right off.
Okay, right here is where the mirror connects in. You should press this tab at the top, disconnect and then there's three 10mm nuts right up here to remove. Use the 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension to remove those three bolts. Okay and I'll speed it up as I remove those bolts. Your mirror from 1AAuto. See, it's all the same. It's going to mount in there like the original, put the harness through. Remove the shipping protectors first, put the harness through and put it in place. Put the nuts right into the socket and just put them on. Speed up here again as I start the other two nuts on and tighten them up and you want to tighten these up nice and firm, don't over tighten though.
Okay, we're going to replace your door panel, pretty easy task. Make sure the harness comes through, put it up and on to the window sill, kind of look back here and peek in and see your pins, make sure they're going in correctly. Let's put that in here. We will push this back through so the lock is sticking up and put it in, push it to lock it. Speed this up as I put the two screws back in. The black one goes in behind the door panel and then the silver or natural colored one goes in behind the door pull. Put the trap doors back in place. Again, make sure that this locking collar is pulled all the way back and let's see here, put it this way. You put the back in first.

Son's Christmas present. Great fit and mirror controls plug right in. Look good on truck and love the quality. Still have to wire in heat and turn signal.
mirrors were installed very easily everything plugged and work great would purchase them again
Great mirrors, easy to install with detailed instructions online. Gives a good view when flipped up for towing, and are out of the way when flipped down. Love the automatic switching so the mirror control in the Tacoma works properly with the mirrors flipped up or down. Didnt expect that! Great product!
They arrived early and were in very good shape. The construction is robust and should out last the vehicle.
Installation was exactly as described. These are first class addition to my Tacoma!
I was skeptical about the quality, fitment, if the glass was going to shake, if they were going to look goofy on the truck. The quality was far superior than i was expecting, considering the price. They couldnt have fit better, plugged right in, didnt shake. I will say if you have never had tow mirrors before, it is a lot of new information that you see in your mirrors. Also they might look a bit goofy if you dont have bigger tires or something to offset the size. Im thinking of ordering a few sets to have on my shelf. Great product!
love these mirrors functional and better price and with the video installation was simple 15 min job.. love these
We think they are great. Easy to install. Good visibility.

Mirrors should be replaced in an "option for option" fashion. If your mirrors do not have the same options that are listed in our listing, there is a possibility that this mirror may not function properly.
No, these mirrors will not fit on the 2021 Toyota Tacoma.
Thank you for your inquiry, but these will not fit anything newer than 2015.
The lenses themselves will have a light smoked finish, and the turn signal bulbs are amber.
Yes additional wiring will be needed to add on those features, which is included.
The covers in most cases will need to be from the same mirror manufacturer to ensure a proper fitment. These include a black textured cap already installed to reduce the labor required.
YOU CAN INSTALL IT AND JUST LEAVE THE HEATERS DISCONNECTED. NO PROBLEM.
