Found that I only had a leak since the sensor clip wasn't holding the sensor in tightly. But since I had the bright, new, shiny part in I figured that I'd install it and give myself a peace of mind over having the original plastic housing in place!

The aluminum thermostat housing that I recently purchased is a great upgrade from the plastic original part that had cracked and was leaking, looks much better too!

Haven't had any problems in the past several months, don't tighten too much if installing it yourself & place it down evenly or it'll leak.
