Product Features
TRQ oxygen sensors are manufactured to precise specifications using premium raw materials to optimize your vehicle’s emission system. Each sensor is isostatically-pressed for improved strength and durability, and plasma-sprayed to improve sensitivity and prolong the service life of the sensors. Oxygen sensors wear out over time and should be replaced every 60,000 miles to prevent poor engine performance. TRQ recommends replacing the oxygen sensors in sets to optimize fuel economy and reduce overall emissions. All products are fit and road-tested in our Massachusetts R&D facility to ensure we deliver on our promise of Trusted Reliable Quality.

In this video I have a couple of oxygen sensors with me. While there are some aesthetic differences here, the wire lengths are a little different, the actual body and tip of the sensor are a little different, the threads and gasket are the same, and on the other end the connections are actually the same. I can plug these into either position on our vehicle. But if I had to ask you which one's upstream and which one's downstream, you probably can't tell just from looking at them. That's true of most oxygen sensors. The way you determine whether or not an O2 sensor is upstream or downstream is all done visually.
Your oxygen sensor position can be determined relative to your catalytic convertor. As the name suggests, upstream sensors will be located upstream or ahead of, in front of, above, closer to the engine than your catalytic convertors. This means that they see the exhaust gasses first. They then go through the catalytic convertor and to the downstream oxygen sensor, which will either be located in the catalytic convertor like our vehicle here, or after the catalytic convertor to monitor the gasses coming out of the cat and make sure that it's being efficient relative to the readings of the upstream O2 sensor.
The other determination you need to make is bank one versus bank two. Determining which bank is which can be done by looking at a picture of your vehicle's firing order. Whichever bank contains cylinder one is going to be bank one, and the other one, regardless of whether or not cylinder two is in it, is going to be bank two by default. These banks are true of V engines like V8s, V6s, and flat engines like Porsches and Subarus that have individual banks.
On inline four-cylinder engines, as long as they have one exhaust manifold like a Jeep four-liter or a four-cylinder Honda engine, you'll only have one bank with an upstream and downstream O2 sensor. There will be no bank two on the engine.
On our vehicle here, this is the passenger side, which we've already determined from the firing order is bank one. We have our upstream sensor here closest to the engine ahead of the cat. Then we have our downstream or sensor two here inside of the catalytic convertor. This could also be located somewhere after the cat. Here I have my two sensors for the vehicle. While they are aesthetically different, we can now tell this is my upstream sensor because it looks just like the upstream sensor I have up there. This is my downstream sensor. Now that we know which one's which, we can order the right part, correct the problem, and fix you up right.

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to replace the upstream oxygen sensor. Now that's the one that's before the catalytic converter. It's between the motor and the catalytic converter. This is a 2007 G6 with the 4 cylinder motor, same as any G6 or Saturn Aura. The only tool you'll need is a 7/8 inch, oxygen sensor socket and a flexible headed ratchet will make the job easier.
Access your upstream oxygen sensor. It's right in behind the engine. This is a 2.4 liter, 4 cylinder. There's the oxygen sensor. There's the electrical connector. Now back in, there's a blue, little safety lanyard that you need to pull out. Then, there's just a tab on top of the connector, pull it up with your thumb and then you should be able to pull the connector right off. Now grab the other end, the end that's connected to the O2 sensor and pull it out of the clip. This is the tool that makes all the difference. It's an O2 socket. See it has a big slot in it that allows the electrical connector to go out to the side and then you put the socket around the oxygen sensor. A flexible headed ratchet like this is going to be your best bet, allows you to get the most leverage. Once you get the ratchet on there, turn the O2 sensor out and actually, this one comes out fairly easily once we get it started.
The new sensor goes in, just opposite of how the old one came out. Put it in place, get it in the hole and you can usually start it in by hand. Then, once you get it fairly tightened up, then make it nice and tight with the socket. Now, obviously, we need to reconnect the oxygen sensor. I'm just going a little fast, here, because doing it with one hand, makes it a little more difficult, but reconnect the connector. Make sure you put that locking clip back into place. Then clip the connector back into the bracket.

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to replace an O2 sensor on this 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500. It's the same part and a similar process on a large variety of GM models. The items you'll need is a new O2 sensor from 1AAuto.com, flat blade screwdriver, specialized 7/8 inch socket specialized for O2 sensors, ratchet, and possibly a piece of pipe for leverage.
We have the vehicle lifted. You don't actually have to do this, we just do this to make it easier to show you. Right here is your downstream O2 sensor, your catalytic converter, and your upstream O2 sensor. On the other side same thing: downstream, catalytic converter, and the upstream.
We're going to show you how to replace one of the upstream O2 sensor. Here's the 7/8 inch socket wrench, and you could use a 7/8 wrench but we recommend the socket. It will make it a lot easier.
Slide that special socket on there, attach a ratchet, and a piece of pipe for extra leverage. Once you break it free you can loosen it the rest of the way and remove it by hand. If you follow the harness from the O2 sensor you'll end up here. This will be a little bit hard to show some of this because there's not a lot of space to work there. Pry off the clip that holds this to the harness. You see that's freed.
Now, what you want to do is use a pair of pliers. You can also use your hands or a screwdriver. Pull that green pin out and then disconnect the harness. There's actually a little black clip that connects the harness. Pull that out of there. You may need a flat blade to help you pry it out.
Here's the new part up front, the old part in the back. You can see they're identical. The exact same part, all the same mounting points and everything. Feed your new O2 sensor up into place and twist it in. Fast-forward as he tightens that up. He does this at a slightly different order, but it's the same set of clips.
You want to first reconnect that wire to that harness there with that large clip. Take that little black clip and slide it into place on that bracket. Reconnect the harness and slide that green pin back into place. You're all set.

Absolutely perfect "play & plug" fit. It also cleared the codes, just as instructed. I watched your video before I did the installation and that was such a big help! Thanks again, Paul
First time using TRQ for lenses and they appear to be oem quality
Works for me. Fits and video to show me how to do myself. Great price too.
Worked as expected, and the exhaust fault code went away.
These were a pain to replace, but work just like OEM.
Parts showed up well before they said they'd be here and now my Yukon runs better than ever. Took 10 minutes to change all 4
Worked great
Turned my engine light off for the first time in 10 years. I Drove about 500 miles so far and working perfectly.
All 4 O2 sensor worked and fit on my 2003 silverado 1500 5.3. Highly recommend
Thank you for everything, I bought the O2 sensors and installed them myself thanks to your video it was a big help and truck is running great now ????????????
