I give 1A Honda Odyssey replacement driver's & passenger's side power window regulators Three Stars. Here's why- The widow regulator cables get snarled. When the snarl passes through the poly-plastic pully, as the window is raised and lowered, the cable snarl destroys the poly-plastic pully- either binding the regulator and stopping the window in its travel. OR. Pulling the cable end through the bracket in which the window sits. In my Honda, the cable end pulled through the window bracket dropping the window into the driver's door with a bag. I happened to be starting a three drive on I 91. Unfortunately original equipment has the same problems- the regulators seem to last more miles even though they appear identical except for the physical size of the electric motor. They operate the window at the same speeds. Would I buy another window regulator from 1A? Yes. Price and shipping and YouTube installation videos are still a bargain compared too Honda prices and labor.
The part is well build and fit nicely. The only issue was that power cable was significantly shorter than the original. I could not feed the cable through to openings to connect to the power harness. I ended up pulling the cables up through the speaker opening - yes there is plenty of room without impacting the speaker. I also needed to duct tape the cable connector to the panel so it would not interfere with the window as it comes down.
I bought and installed on a 2004 Honda Odyssey EXL. After installing the part I tested it and it lowered fine but struggled to raise the window up. I had to put my hands inside the door (speaker hole and hole to left of plate) and pull back on the the bar/plate to lessen the curve/bend in the bar. After doing that the window went up and down fine. Another thing to be aware of is in the video it does not tell you that you might have to connect the switch to raise/lower the bracket that holds the window so you you can install the bolts. Finally, there was an additional cable harness that had to be disconnected inside the door (blue) that wasn't mentioned in the video. I think that one was for the heated seats. Overall, I'm pleased with the product and the video was very helpful. Just taking off one star for the bend in the bar needing adjustment.
It's been two months since I installed it and still works great. I bought this one because of the lifetime warranty and the instructional video.
Great service fit perfectly
The widow regulator for 2003 Honda Odyssey Driver door installed well today. The video was very good. Only comments is that video did not say to hook up the window switch to run it when need to align the bolt holes within the door holes so can reinstall the window. Also in video all three clips were on the cable and connector. In reality none came on the new unit. The two orange ones from connectors can be transferred from original equipment. But the white one on the cable cannot. It is possible to get it off the old, but cannot put it on the new because the pull-tie has already been trimmed short during the first install, so cannot thread it on the new install. Installed okay without having any white clip. Hopefully does not rattle. Also new unit did not have very much grease for sliding. Looked like the old had a lot more grease.
Great part, the main install direction was not there... of course! What do you do if the part doesnt align to the holes in the door! I managed to figure out how to manually articulate the regulator to align for install.
I shopped around many places and 1A Auto had the best deal. It doesn't stop there either, besides the low price, 1A Auto also offers a free How-To-Video for ease of installation. I'm pretty handy but I think even if you're not, but have handled tools before, it can be done. You save lots of cash by doing so too. Bottom line, great quality part!! Thanks 1A Auto for saving me money!!
Came on time and fit perfectly. Video guide was very helpful
