Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to service the bulb as well as replace the entire tail light assembly on this 2003 Nissan Altima. You'll find it's the same for 2002 to 2006 Altimas even though the lights are different for certain years. The items that you'll need for this repair are new tail lights from 1AAuto.com, 8mm socket and ratchet and a Phillips screwdriver.
Start off by going into your trunk and you'll see there's a Phillips clip right there. You want to go ahead and remove that and then pull that out and just pull back the insulation. Here you can see your harness. Just pull that right off, and there's an 8mm nut right there. Pull this harness clip off and, again, there's another 8mm nut. We'll just fast forward as Don removes those. Now, using your screwdriver, just push down on the tab and then pull the harness apart. The tail light will pull right out.
To service your bulbs you just want to twist the socket counter clockwise, pull the bulb out, push your new bulb in and twist the socket clockwise to lock it. The other three are the same.
On the left, you can see, is the old tail light. On the right is the new one from 1A Auto. They're identical and they'll mount exactly the same. Take your new tail light, and run the harness back through the car. Then line up your tail light and push it into place. We'll fast forward as Don replaces those two 8mm nuts. Reconnect your harness and clip that back onto that stud and clip the other clip onto the lower stud. Push your insulation back into place. Take that Phillips clip, and just push it right back into place.
The reasons for changing your tail light assembly are probably either it's broken or you're just looking for the car to look newer, but if you're looking for a slightly different style, if you want to change the appearance of your car slightly, we do have a variety of different tail lights at 1A Auto. Right here you can see the black bezel with the red lens, then the black bezel with the white lens. This is actually a carbon fiber bezel with a white lens. Then we have this black bezel performance pair with the LED lights. We'll turn them on for you. You can see it right there. We have a variety if you want to change the appearance of your car or you need to replace one and you just want something different. These can all be found at 1AAuto.com.
We hope this video helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.

New light bulbs are not included.
Occasionally, manufacturers leave test bulbs in the lights. If you receive test bulbs, replace them with your original bulbs or with new bulbs.
