Fit's Good on 8' bed (with one modification).
I bought this tank for my 1998 Ford F-150 standard cab, long box (8' bed) and it fit good however I would note a couple things to be aware of.
1. The welded seams in the OEM tank are bent down to clear the two mounting straps where they come around the tank. On this tank they weren't so you will probably have to bend them yourself (I did) otherwise the seams push agains the straps and you can't get the strap bolts tight. I just used a body hammer and vise grips to get them bent down. Do this ahead of time as it's a real pain if you already have the tank up there and realize it after.
2. The tank will come with two gaskets for the fuel pump sending unit. One is on the tank and another one is in a separate bag. The one on the tank matches the OEM one (or at least it did for me) so I just used that one.
3. I kept very good track of how much fuel I put in the tank (which was obviously bone dry after install) and while it says it's 30 gallons, mine actually held 36.5 gallons to full.
