Most of the replacement window regulators I looked at had plastic gears. This particular one had metal gears. I feel that for longevity, you need metal gears with all of the pressure that raising and lowering your window puts on that targeted area. Especially since this is a power window. I am hoping it will out last this old Camry.

I bought the window regulator assembly for a 2001 Toyota Camry and it fits great. One problem I had is the regulator is wired backwards so the window rolls up when supposed to go down but no problem to me. I will make a wire harness to switch polarity. Last time I got this part somewhere else and it didn't fit at all. I had to do so rigging to get it to work. I definitely will come back if this part is needed again in the future.

This was the correct regulator for the vehicle and fit nicely and worked as required.
This part was delivered in a timely manner. My teenage grandson installed it for me within 30 minutes. The product is sturdy and matched perfectly to my 1999 Camry's rear driver window. This unit is miss wired. Up is down on both switches. It also makes a grinding glass sound when used. Poor quality control. Shop elsewhere for this regulator
It's installed and works well. : )
The motor was wired backwards. Other then that this worked as intended after rewiring.
Runs backwards, will take back apart and see if I can turn the connector 180.
