In this video, we'll be replacing an inside door handle on this '98 Camry, same as any '97-'01 Camry. Tools you'll need are a regular screwdriver, a small size, regular screw driver medium or large, a Phillips screw driver, a putty knife or door panel clip tool and a 10-millimeter wrench or socket and ratchet.
We're really going to fly through the door panel removal. If you want to see this procedure in real time, just search our other videos for Camry door panel and you'll see that we have a video that details removing and installing the door panel. You might be able to get enough from just watching this fast motion to help you. Just bear with it and we'll get to removing and putting the door handle in a second or maybe five or 10 seconds.
To remove your inside door handle, it's a 10-millimeter bolt here. Really get the wrench on it pretty good. You take that off and pull the bolt out. The handle slides forward. Then you basically twist it this way and the rods will come out of the component. Then to install, reverse that procedure. That one in, that one in. Slide it back. Put in the bolt and tighten it up. We'll tighten up and put the door panel back on and you're good to go.

Just ad the picture show, I assumed it was the correct part for my vehicle. It was not! Part was off tone beige not gray. Also it had some other additions, which caused a very snug fit to make it offset. Plastic was also inferior. Repairs should not appear to have been repaired. I might as well gone to the junk yard, and removed a matching color door handle.
I feared removing the car door and installing the door handle, but in fact, the procedure went without any problem. The part supplied by A1 Auto fit perfectly. I will add that I did not have any problems because of the helpful A1 Auto video describing this repair. Thank you....

It doesn't perfectly match the inside color of my car, but it works flawlessly which is the most important thing on an old 2000 Camry. There was a problem with the transference from UPS to USPS with the item being lost or stolen.
