hello, I own a 1996 Toyota Avalon that needed a new power antenna. I purchased this one based on a youtube video. I was able to install the unit and it works well. There was an issue. The vent nipple on the bottom of the new antenna is smaller in diameter and shorter in length than the vent nipple on the old antenna; therefore, I could not attach the vent hose to the new unit. What I did was cut a piece of smaller diameter hose I had in the garage and used that instead.

Installed easily worked great
I finally found a perfect replacement antenna for my 96 Avalon, which by the way has 242,000 miles on it. I still treat it like it's new though. I purchased three other antennas but they were a pain to install and only lasted about a year before they quit working. This one was an exact fit and easy to install. I hope it lasts as long as the car does!
