In this video, I'll be showing you how to replace the wiper arm in this 99 Suburban, same as pretty much any truck or GM SUV of this body style from this vintage, basically '88 to '99. Remove the windshield wiper arms, pretty easy. You flip the arm up and there's a little tab right here, and that pulls up. Then you can just poke your hands underneath there, and pull it up and off, and the same thing for the other side. Okay, so here's our original arm. New arm from 1AAuto. You can see it's all exactly the same. Here it's going to meld on just the same. If you want to swap your wiper blades over, you just press this little button, little tab, slide the wiper blade out. There you go. Obviously it'll go right on to the new one, okay.
What tends to happen is either your springs break, or these rivets here wear out, and everything gets sloppy. Additionally, what can happen is your arm can get stuck, and then actually the transmission, or the round thing that you pull the arm off of, either that or more likely the arm, which is just die cast, gets stripped out. In that case, you want to check your transmission and make sure that's in good shape as well. Okay, now, putting the wiper arms back on. If you need to put new transmissions on, or you're putting on new wipers, you may need to coax them on there. Sometimes the back of the hand will do it. Shake them back and forth. Click the bottom down. Do the same thing over here, and you're all set.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a wiper arm on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. We show you on the driver's side, but the passenger's side is the same procedure. The items you'll need for this include a new wiper arm from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
Pull back the wiper arm and pry out this tab. Then you can put the wiper arm back down and pull it right off. Push the tab on your wiper blade and slide it down and off. In the back is the old wiper arm; up front is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and will fit exactly the same.
Get your wiper blade onto the wiper arm, and then you want to line up this slot with that notch just push it down into place. Pull back the wiper arm and push that tab in and you're all set.

I received the items I purchased quickly and as stated, they work great and fit perfectly.
They certainly improve the performance of my 25 year old wiper arms. There was some debate whether there was one arm specifically dedicated to each side. Both arms are exactly identical in every detail that I can see. However, the one on the driver's side now sits noticeably higher than the passenger side which is a little irritating; I may switch the two. Otherwise they work great; no more skipping and a clean swipe every time. Definitely worth the cost.

EXCELLENT replacements, they are exactly like the original and give the Suburban a new look instead of that tired look
I purchased both the TRQ wiper arm transmissions and the TRQ wiper arms. My concern was that if I used two different brands they may not connect together properly. The transmissions fit in just fine, no issues, but when I went to attach the arms to the transmissions they didnt fit. Neither driver nor passenger arms would attach. There is a little clip on the bottom of the arms that slides back and forth and on both arms, the clip didnt slide far enough over to allow you to slide these arms onto the transmissions. I took a grinder and a 4 pound sledge hammer to the transmission to modify them enough to get these arms on. I really hope that I dont have to remove them anytime soon. They had to be pounded on. The arms dont rest in the right area. The passenger arm is up midway on the windshield. Technically they function, but appearance is 3 out of 5 due to misalignment and fit is 1 out of 5 because they wouldnt go together even though they are the same exact brand. If you are not mechanic
