How do you change colors?

I can't find any videos or directions on how to replace this kind of mirror. I took it to a shop and they couldn't figure it out and wanted to just apoxy it on....I don't want to do that. How do you replace this mirror?
one nut is inside the door, and the other is outside requiring turning the mirror, but you do need to remove the door panel to access the inner nut. town cars with memory setting seat sand mirrors use an entirely different mirror and while they mount the same, they will not wire up
