This item is described as Metal Reinforced Upgrade Exterior Door Handle Front Passenger Side Metal Upgrade Exterior Door Handle.... This item is PLASTIC. The only metal I can find is the chrome handle itself and maybe a few other pieces of the mechanism. The overall handle is PLASTIC. Not what I thought I was ordering at all.

Awesome fit
Works and looks fine
This is an upgraded metal handle instead of plastic. I spent the extra money so hopefully I don't have to replace these every 2 years. They have only been on a couple weeks but they make a popping noise while lifting the handle. Maybe they need some time to break in? In my case I can deal with the noise but time will tell. I hope they last a lot longer than those cheap plastic ones as they are priced a good bit higher than the plastic version.

I would think so as they are made of metal instead of plastic and are heavier. I put some on a 2000 Tacoma and it makes a popping noise when lifting the handle definitely more resistance when pulling up on handle. Mine have only been installed for a few weeks so it's to early to say how long they may last.
