This is an affordable and old school feel and look of towing mirrors for your old Ford. Drilling needed for some models.
Mirrors blow straight down; to facing the ground. Once you hit 55 on free way the don't stay in place
Check your mirror carefully, as the top bracket is faced up, where on my original mirror it is facing down. It took some major effort to install this mirror, and when I did, I was extremely disappointed. The mirror itself is warped so images aren't clear, but that doesn't even matter because the ball joint is so loose the mirror drops at freeway speeds. The vibration of the mirror itself makes it impossible to see anything, even if it wasn't warped. Considering how difficult it was to install the bracket, I am going to try to replace the mirror with my original as it's still intact.
This mirror is a great replacement, however the mirror head is slightly different from factory. I only needed one because my lower half of oem bracket got tore off. If you have factory mirrors and only need one I'd still recommend buying a pair instead so they match. What I did was use all the new parts from this mirror except I used my old mirror head so that they would match perfectly.
